Carmel began dancing at the age of 2. Since then, Carmel has gained qualifications in RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern.
She has been teaching since she was 16, beginning with running a small dance company touring around Kent. Carmel has since taught classes in Ballet, Commercial, Contemporary, Lyrical and Jazz in a variety of places.
Carmel has also performed in a diverse range of showcases and events including as a dancer for English Heritage. She is also currently a member of a touring Bollywood dance company.
Carmel graduated from university with a first class honours in Choreography and Dance and since then has pursued her passion to teach dance.
Carmel also freelances for numerous Inclusive Dance classes and has trained with the renowned Stopgap Dance Company to take students through IRIS-an inclusive dance syllabus.
Carmel hopes to later develop the school to offer numerous inclusive dance classes for all.
Our teacher is First aid and Makaton trained and holds a DBS certificate. Carmel is also a trained Progressing Ballet Technique teacher.
Tash has supported our school since our very first class over 5 years ago. Her role involves assisting with anything in class, being our resident photographer, as well as assisting in finances and marketing. During our Summer schools, she is head of Arts and Crafts and assists the school in any design challenges we face. Tash has experience in coaching roles within the sporting sphere and loves working with children. She previously worked as a Support worker for individuals with Learning Difficulties and has been trained in multiple elements of health and safety and first aid.
Morgan began dancing and singing at the age of 3 and her passion for performing has developed since then. Morgan is a third year musical theatre student at the university of Winchester. During her time at university, Morgan joined the Winchester POM dance team. Throughout her second and third years she became the dance coach and choreographer for the team and utilises her creative side to create innovative dances. She began working alongside dance teachers at the age of 15 as a teaching assistant. This ignited her drive to be in a learning environment and lead her to assisting with our classes.
